Training Center
The Training Center at Copper Crowne is a unique, all inclusive, state-of-the-art facility in Louisiana. Out 6½ furlong, sand-based training track was designed by Steve Greene of Horseman’s Track and Equipment in Lexington, KY. Sanctioned by the Louisiana Racing Commission for Official Works and Gate Cards, Copper Crowne’s training track provides a safe and consistent training surface. Safety is ensured on the 65-foot-wide track with inner and outer safety railings. Our training track features wide, sweeping turns, professional in-house maintenance and includes two chutes & starting gates.

Copper Crowne Training Center offers year-round boarding for trainers and their employees. The new, well-constructed, 56 stall barns, each with adjacent turn-out paddocks, are designed with very high rooflines and Big Ass Fans® for maximum air-flow and ventilation. The spacious stalls, indoor wash racks with hot and cold water, walking wheels and 12-foot-wide shedrows are perfect for your horses. Offices, storage space, staff dorms and full baths are included within each barn, further enhancing the value of our facilities.
Please note that as The Training Center at Copper Crowne is a fully licensed and sanctioned training center with official works and gate cards, we require all training personnel to have a valid license from the Louisiana State Racing Commission. For further information, click here.
